Published by the Local Government Association in 2001 this document appears to be an annotated version of the Scottish Executive's Central Research Units' 2000 publication;
"The Role of Sport in Regenerating Deprived Areas. (2000)"
This work is almost identical in chapter structure yet with the notable exception of the academic [ best ] chapter in the former : Sports and their Dimensions.
Whilst this document is a quick undergraduate guide to the evidence base for the instrumental claims for sport as documented in PAT 10, the discerning reader is directed to what appears to be the original for a more rigourous (and therefore more meaningful) academic interrogation of the subject. The latter document having particular value to academics, professionals and students.
