this document is the proceedings of the summit in London on July 18th 2000, drawn to discuss the sport england strategy document - a sporting future for all, it is a collection of presentations made by variously prominent people in sport development dealing with the publication of sport england's driven (DCMS) document "a sporting future for all"
whilst much of this document is descriptive of the sporting future for all document there are critically evaluative sections from Andy Worthington and David Whitaker which add particular value to the debate about the future of sport development, the former arguing against the diminishing position of local authorities in sport development and the latter developing further the models of the sport development continuum.
